Description of the problem	On or about march 15, 2005 i got into my f150, 2001, ford pickup and started the vehicle, when immediately smoke began pouring out from under the hood. This was in the morning at the start of my day, and the truck had been sitting all night and the engine was cold. When i looked under the hood i observed a red hot glow on the driver's side around some wiring. After certified ford technicians examined the truck i was told that this was a result of a defect in the cruise control switch which i understand your agency is investigating. These repairs cost me $728. 00. Am i able to recoup my repair cost? *ak
