Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2001 ford f150. The contact stated while making a right turn at approximately 10 to 15 mph, the vehicle fuel tank separated as fuel spilled onto the highway. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed corrosion of the fuel tank and straps. The fuel tank and straps were replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised that the failure was not recalled. The failure mileage was 129,000 and the current mileage was 130,000. |
