Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2001 ford f150. While driving at speeds of 70mph the fuel tank fell from the vehicle. There was a large quantity of gasoline spraying from under the vehicle and onto the highway. The contact was able to move the vehicle off the roadway without further incident. The vehicle was towed to his residence where the contact made repairs to the vehicle. The fuel tank straps had fractured causing the fuel tank to fall from place. The dealer was unable to provide any assistance. The manufacture was not contacted. The failure and current mileages were 103,000. |
