Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2020 ford explorer. The contact stated that while at a drive thru window, the vehicle caught on fire under the hood. The contact stated that the roadside assistance of ford had the vehicle towed to tri-city ford, 912 s van buren rd, eden, nc 27288, and was diagnosed that the wiring harness and starter battery needed to be replaced. The contact mentioned that the dealer informed him that the wire harness connected with the pulley between the starter and battery caused the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired and still remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,850. |
