Description of the problem | After several weeks of an intermittent acceleration problem, the vehicle stalled while driving up a hill. The engine did not shut off but nothing happened when pressing on the gas pedal. I was on a side street just about to get on the highway so i was able to pull over on the shoulder at that time. After restarting the truck i was able to drive it home but then had it towed to the dealer for service. The dealer found that the throttle body was defective and not covered under the powertrain warranty. After some research, i found that other ford models had the same failure with the same part on the same engine but the expedition was not specifically included in the nhtsa recall. |
