Description of the problem | Sudden and complete brake failure while driving the vehicle. Traveling with the vehicle on the highway when a warning message was displayed on the dash "low brake fluid". I touched the brake pedal and it depressed completely to the floor. I was able to stop the vehicle using engine braking and the emergency brake. Inspected the vehicle, no visible leaks at any of the wheels or in the engine bay. Brake fluid reservoir was empty. Had vehicle taken to closest ford dealer. Was diagnosed with a damaged master cylinder that leaked into the brake booster and had to be completely replaced. |
