Description of the problem | Vehicle suddenly stopped operating while driving 90 mph. A complete loss of power occurred. The vehicle was immediately put into neutral and allowed to coast so that it could be safely moved to the emergency lane of the interstate. Several attempts were made to restart the vehicle while coasting. Additional attempts were made to restart the vehicle after the vehicle came to a halt. No success. The vehicle would turn over but never start. The vehicle was towed to the nearest ford dealer. After inspection, ford determined that the fuel pump had failed unexpectedly. |
