Description of the problem | While driving the engine goes into "limp mode". This has happened 8 times in the past week at speeds of 50mph or even 15mph driving normal on a highway, country road, and entrance to a parking lot. This is incredibly dangerous because the vehicle has absolutely zero power and driver must place vehicle in neutral and coast to a safe place to pull over. Once pulled over, the vehicle has to be turned completely off and restarted. Afterwards, the vehicle runs very rough and cel is on. The code for the engine light displays the code : 2112 which is the throttle actuator is stuck closed. After doing research, this has been a known issue for years and not being taken of. This could extremely dangerous if someone is going 70mph in traffic, on a bridge, or even 45mph in a construction zone on the interstate. |
