Description of the problem | The rear glass panel in the panoramic sunroof has spider cracks throughout. The car is normally parked in a covered area. I had the sunroof open two weeks ago and there were no cracks at that time. The cracks happened within the last two weeks. The car was stationary when the problem was identified. This was not caused by any impact. I believe it is an inherent manufacturer defect. I contacted the dealer who said the repair will cause at least $1300 and that it is not covered under warranty. The car is a 2017 ford edge with 40k miles and has a 100k mile ford premium care warranty. |
