Description of the problem | On 7/16/2020 my 2017 ford edge experienced a loss of brakes while driving. The vehicle was was approaching a busy intersection when the failure occurred. The brake pedal went to the floor and the emergency brake had to be used to avoid a collision. The vehicles low brake fluid light came one and a large pool of fluid was coming from the front passenger wheel. The vehicle was tow back to my house and upon investigation the front passenger brake line had burst. There was no sign of prior damage or unusual wear. The vehicle has 63,000 miles. |
