Description of the problem | On 02/20/2020 while driving the vehicle on a city street and approaching a stop light the brake pedal went to the floor and was difficult to stop. Shortly after a indicator light showed that my brake fluid level was low. The vehicle was limped home and parked in driveway. The next morning there was a large puddle of brake fluid underneath the vehicle on the front passenger side. There was obvious brake fluid covering the inside front passenger fender well. Underneath the vehicle there was brake fluid that had sprayed the front tire and underneath vehicle. There was brake fluid dripping from the brake line with no obvious damage noted anywhere else. The vehicle was then taken to a ford service center. The mechanic stated that the rubber brake line going to the caliper had ruptured. |
