Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford edge. The contact stated while driving 45 mph and depressing the accelerator pedal, the engine revved up however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over and had the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The contact called local dealer epic ford (5200 evergreen way, everett, wa 98203, 425) 353-7171) to notify the dealer of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 17v427000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000. |
