Description of the problem | After refueling at a bp service station, i was unable to remove the fuel nozzle from the fuel filler door. I didn't want to force the removal of the nozzle so i called ford road side assist. After trying their recommendations they suggested having the car towed. I explained the car cannot be towed because the nozzle was stuck in the door. They suggested i call the dealer service department. I called the dealer and they had not heard of this issue as well and had no fix. The bp attendant had seen this issue before and suggested i take the edge of a scissor which she supplied and wedge it between the nozzle and door. It worked. The nozzle released from the door. This was my very first fill up as my car has only 344 miles on the odometer. |
