Description of the problem	In june 2020 the engine light came on. We called our local ford dealership to make an appointment. They were not able to look at it for a few days, but was told it would be fine to drive. We needed the car to get to work and back so we took it in to have it checked with another reputable service provider. He informed us that we defiantly needed to take it to our local ford dealership as the code it was throwing was a major engine problem. The codes were p0301-p0304, which is a defect in the engine which will allow coolant intrusion into the cylinders. He told us that there was technical service bulletin, copy included with this letter, on this vehicle and that the engine most likely would need to be replaced. We immediately called newberg ford and made another appointment. We took it in and after a day in a half were told that it was indeed an engine defect and the engine would need to be replaced. We were also told that we should not drive this vehicle as it could fail while driving. Thank god we did not follow their first advice that it would be fine to drive! At first, they told us it was going to cost us over $8000 to repair. We were devastated. While we still owed several thousand dollars on the car, we really did not have that kind of money! We couldn
