Description of the problem | I purchased this car new with 10 miles driven only 14 months ago. At 3100 miles it lost all electric/electronic/engine power as i was traveling approximately 40 miles on a city street with traffic! The engine light, service wrench light and dinging sounds flashed; the vehicle decreased in speed, and shut down, making it difficult to steer. Fortunately, i was able to coast off the street into an open driveway prior to its complete stop of the vehicle from loss of all power! Then there were absolutely no power; ignition would not start; no lights, no power of any kind. After calling ford service hotline, and about 2. 5 hours waiting for a tow truck in the hot heat, i tried the ignition - the power was back. Nevertheless, the vehicle was towed to ford dealership where purchased. The next day their diagnostics and two test drives |
