Description of the problemI have a 2009 ford edge limited and about two weeks ago, i noticed that an orange wrench light appeared and then my car would loose power. It never completely shut off but it would no longer accelerate and begin slowing down until it completely stopped. It happened to me during rush hour traffic when i was getting off the highway. This problem could have caused an accident! I took my edge into the ford dealership today for a fuel tank recall and told them about this problem. I got a phone call from ford a few hours later explaining that the issue was related to the vehicles throttle body that needs to be replaced. Its going to cost over $600 for them to replace it! I went online and discovered that several other ford edge owners are having the exact same problem and are told they need to replace the throttle body. This should be made a recall after having seen so many other complaints over the issue!
