Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2009 ford edge. The contact stated that the abs and traction control warning indicators randomly flashed. The brakes failed to function without force each time the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced both abs sensors. The dealer determined that there was no manufacturer recall to address the repair. The brake pedal was spongy when the indicator illuminated. When the indicator went off, the brakes failed to fully engage without applying force to the brake pedal. The dealer stated that the vehicle would need to be diagnosed to determine the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 103,000. Updated 11/06/17*lj *cn |
