Description of the problem | I was slowly driving through a neighborhood when i could no longer accelerate when my vehicle was in drive. I eventually came to a stop. The transmission was not engaging. I kept trying to accelerate but i was unable to go anywhere. I put the car in park, then back to drive and it still did not work. I then resorted to turning off the car off and back on. At that point the vehicle did operate as usual. Since it happened i have read countless reports of this same issue in this vehicle with many complaints. This is a potentially deadly error from ford and their transmissions in this vehicle. I believe it is related to the sensors on the transmission. A recall needs to be issued immediately before someone gets killed in an accident because their car comes to a total stop on a busy interstate. Ford knows about the problem and has not addressed it. |
