Description of the problem | Takata recall ... Ford dealerships are refusing to give me (and other ford owners affected by the airbag recall) a loaner car or rental car. I live in a state with high humidity, which means there's a higher failure rate. My wife could be number 19 in the death toll so far! In ford's letter to me regarding this, they simply state "do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat". That is a horrible statement, which effectively means "sorry, 50% of your car is unusable until we find a solution a year from now"! All other companies affected by this recall are offering it's customers a safe vehicle to ride during the wait. Ford should as well! Please attempt to push them to do so. Thank you. |
