Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2018 dodge journey. The contact stated that the front passenger seat belt failed to restrain properly. While driving 65 mph, the driver was able to avoid a near crash. The front passenger seat belt failed to restrain her and caused her body to slip out of the seat belt and strike the dashboard and floor board. The contact's head and neck were caught in the seat belt shoulder strap, which caused the contact's head to feel abnormal for a few days. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer for inspection, but they were unable to locate a failure with the seat belt. The dealer stated that the leather seat may have caused the seat belt failure. The seat belt was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000. |
