Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge journey. The contact had not experienced a brake failure until the vehicle was repaired for nhtsa campaign number: 15v675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic). After the dealer's repair, there was extensive moisture. The dealer later determined that all the calipers were rusted and corroded. The dealer stated that the parts needed to be replaced. The manufacturer's remedy for the recall failed to provide a solution and the condition continued. The manufacturer was notified of the failure several times and provided no solution other than for the contact to replace the parts. The dealer did not indicate what caused the moisture after the recall repair was completed. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. |
