Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owned a 2013 dodge journey. While driving approximately 60 mph, the stability control failed without warning. The contact attempted to apply the brakes; however, the brakes failed and a crash occurred. The contact was unable to provide details of the crash and how she received head injuries and lost consciousness. The vehicle was towed and destroyed. A police report was filed. The contact received facial, neck, tongue, and head injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was later included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic) and 15v431000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the vehicle was totaled before a remedy was available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,000. |
