Description of the problem	I was driving on the highway at 60mph, i went to pass a car and pressed the accelerator pedal and the plastic pedal broke off just after the pivot point. I had to cross 3 lanes of traffic that were traveling at highway speeds (65-75), all while my speed was rapidly decreasing, to get to the shoulder of the road.
