Description of the problem | Vehicle alternator started to smoke and catch on fire, after shorting itself out. Vehicle was on the road then parked in driveway. I reported it to dodge who advised it was on recall (t36). Called chrysler customer care to report. They set up a tow and advised that they would replace with current model alternator and if needed the pcm and battery. Dealership now stating chrysler will not cover pcm or battery. Now i have a vehicle at the dealership that wont run with a new alternator . Chrysler care made notes when i first talked with them on this case # 32398928 from customer care. Now they will not admidt that they authorized repair of altornator, pcm , and battery. |
