Description of the problem | Stopped at a light and vehicle started to smoke. No other indicators that anything was wrong. Opened hood and the alternator was smoking. Closed the hood pushed out of the way of traffic and walked away. Car caught fire and burned. Total loss. There is a recall on the alternator for my vehicle and dodge is claiming no fault.
