Description of the problem | I came out of a store and upon getting in my durango i started it and noticed smoke and smelled a burning electrical smell. The hood wouldn't open because it had already burned through the cable that attaches the hood release. Within a few seconds the whole front end was on fire. I called the fire department and they had it put out pretty quickly. I've only had the vehicle for exactly a year almost to the day. The only problem we've had with it is the driver's side headlight went out. We had it replaced and it went out again within a couple of weeks so we had it changed again. I did notice that one headlight was brighter than the other but thought it was just different bulbs. Apparently it wasn't. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot next to a whole cage full of propane tanks now that's pretty scary. |
