Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 dodge charger. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle stopped operating without warning. All of the warning indicators illuminated in the vehicle when the failure occurred, and the vehicle shut off. The vehicle was towed to landers mclarty dodge chrysler jeep ram (533 university dr nw, huntsville, al 35806 (256) 830-6450) where it was diagnosed that the battery was dead due to alternator failure. There was an open recall for the alternator, nhtsa campaign number: 17v435000 (electrical system); however, the dealer confirmed that the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 35,000. |
