Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge challenger. While driving approximately 55 mph, the electronic dashboard gauges suddenly stopped operating before the vehicle shut off. After the vehicle was stopped, the driver was unable to restart the engine and the key could not be removed from the ignition switch. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact also indicated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 14v634000 (electrical system) was received in september of 2014. After contacting the dealer and the manufacturer on multiple occasions, the contact was informed that the parts needed to repair the vehicle were still not available and no estimated time for receiving the parts could be given. The failure mileage was 25,000. |
