Description of the problem | While driving home with my 2011 dodge challenger v6, the dashboard lights (abs, traction control, airbags, etc) came on. I was driving around 60 mph and shortly thereafter the car lost power. Steering locked, i somehow stayed on the road and slowed down with the brake power i had left and the emergency brake. Since i was on a turn i kept going to the shoulder. Finally stopped and the whole car just died. I read about alternator failure in this particular model. This sounds exactly like that but, the recall is still 2 weeks away. I had the car towed to a local chrysler/ dodge dealership. Now saddled with a bill for repairs that i hope i can get reimbursed for. |
