Description of the problem | On the date stated above, while operating my vehicle the engine, abs, airbag, and other lights begin to flash and beep and the engine stalled and cut off in mid traffic. I attempted to jump my battery off, but to no avail. I purchased a new battery and after driving approx. 15 miles and cut the engine off and immediately attempted to restart but it failed and after attempting to turn on the head light, open the trunk and let the windows up, i concluded that the new battery was now dead. Dodge has not acknowledge any problems or recalls for the alternator and i am outside of the factory warranty. I am very suspect that dodge know there is a problem because the part is not available through the normal autopart stores and the price through dealerships and upwards of $500 for the part and $300 for labor for a partthat should not fail this soon. |
