Description of the problem | On or about june of 2011 i was driving my car in ga, and the engine just shut off. After contacting the manufacture. Dodge had the car towed to thompson dodge in thompson ga. I was told there by the head mechanic that my engine suffered a total catastrophic failure . They ( manufacture) decided to rebuild instead of replacing my engine as i had asked. Then on thursday 11/22/2012 i was driving (60-65 mph) home to nj from texas. And the engine did the same thing. Leaving me stranded. After the first time i was told that the timing chain broke. I find it hard to believe that a 2010 challenger will break 2 chains within 2 years. There has to be a underlying cause for this. Please advise me and respond. I can be reached at [xxx]. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6). |
