Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chrysler crossfire. While driving 45 mph, the contact heard a loud wind noise and the rear window separated from the convertible top. The top was closed at the time and the failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that defective glue used was by the manufacturer and the convertible top needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but did not offer any further assistance. The contact was informed that a technical service bulletin was issued, but expired last year. The contact stated that he did not receive the technical service bulletin. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. |
