Description of the problem | Acquired 2006 300c - 2/1/2006 - w/continental tires. Noticed cupping on left front tire at 3,00 miles. Dealer checked alignment, suspension, etc. And said: "everything is within specs" and rotated tires. Service advisor stated tires should be rotated every 3,000 miles (?????). Follow-up call w/service manager - stated that the continental tires are "very soft" and wear prematurely. Asked about the "cradle mod" - and he stated that the "cradle mod" and revised alignment specs would have been applied to this vehicle, since it is a 2006. Left front tire is now cupping again at 6,000 miles. Why are these tires performing so badly when goodyear tires (also shipped on this vehicle) are performing ok? Why would chrysler continue to ship these vehicles w/the continental tires? *nm |
