Description of the problem	Vehicle will not shift into gear from park. No warning lights are illuminated on the dashboard, there is nothing indicating there is any issue. Pressing the brake does not seem to unlock the shift lock mechanism that would allow me to shift into gear. Contacted chrysler group and was informed that although there have been recalls for the same problem in other model years, the 2006 model year is not currently covered.
