Description of the problem | Dt*: the contact stated while traveling various speeds, the rear seatbelt did not restrain the child safety seat tightly. The child was able to get out from under the seatbelt. The lap and shoulder belt did not properly secure the child. The service dealer was contacted, who suggested that the manufacturer be notified. The manufacturer was contacted, and expressed that the seat belt would tighten when the brakes were applied. The contact disagreed because the child would be thrown forward if the brakes were applied while the child was not restrained properly. There was no problem with the child seat itself. |
