Description of the problem | Own a 2006 chrysler 300, that is stuck in park. I could not get to work today. I have been researching online all day & it seems that this is a common occurrence in this vehicle model. I have called several dealerships & there is no recall even though i see people complaining about it all over the internet. It will cost me $350 to replace the gear shift assembly plus towing. I have tried all the suggestions online to attempt to get the car into gear, but none work. I can not believe this has not been recalled. I was told by one dealer that the reason the manufacturer has not recalled it is because it is "not a safety issue". Many of the service tech's i spoke with this morning state that they see this happen often!!!! |
