Description of the problem	I own a 2006 chrysler 300 touring. I drove the car without any problem and parked in my car garage at home. I went to the car to drive out of home, engine starts well, but gear lever is stuck to park, will not disengage. I researched a little about this and noticed that this is a major problem with the chrysler car and many people have been having problems with this. I also noticed that chrysler had issued a recall for this problem. I called a local chrysler dealership and reported the problem and was told that the recall did not apply to my specific car. I then called the chrysler group recall assistance center at 1-800-853-1403. I spoke with [xxx] (employee id [xxx]) who told me that my car was not covered under the recall. I made it clear to him that this is a manufacturer problem, a defective product being sold to consumers like myself and that chrysler needs to take full responsibility for it. I requested for the name and email or other contact information of the person in charge of recalls at chrysler and [xxx] told me he is not allowed to give out that information.
