Description of the problem | 2006 chrysler 300 limited with 3. 5 and auto trans. Transmission shifter has failed 2 times in the last year. 1st time it was stuck in park and would not move, the vehicle towed to chrysler dealer and shifter repaired. Iaw dealer the plastic clip inside the shifter broke. 2nd time the shifter would not go to park and could not remove the key from the ignition. Drove the vehicle back to the dealer and the shifter was repaired again, a new plastic piece used again. Chrysler i was told is aware of the problem. Will this happen again yes but when no idea. If chrysler is aware of the problem (and not the only one going thru this) why isn't chrysler trying to solve the problem? Instead they keep replacing the part as it breaks. What will happen when the warranty expires on the vehicle? Will i incur the expenses to have it repaired. |
