Description of the problem | 5 min after filling the fuel tank, going approximately 15 mph, the car started lurching forward. Turned onto a side street, pressed gas pedal and the car completely died. Then restarted as if normal. We had 2 grandchildren in the car on a very busy street. This could easily have created an accident. Researched this problem, found there was a recall for the exact problem. But, when i entered the vin on this site, it states no recalls for this vin. What is my next step? I just bought the car and the original owner is deceased so i can't obtain any info/history on the car. |
