Description of the problem | Came home from work parked my car. Ten fifteen min later i tried to go to the store, car started & died would not restart. Half an hour later i got it started, but it make a crunching noise & ran with a miss fire. I limped it to my mechanic, the car was blowing oil smoke out the tailpipes like i had overfilled it. My mechanic found that the valve seat on # 6 cylinder had dropped ruining both plug, cylinder head & piston. After he told me what had happened i started researching this, looks like any 5. 7 hemi & other motors made before 2009 can be effected. I've tried talking to chrysler about this issue & when the hear my car was not @ a dealer i was stonewalled. |
