Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler 300. While driving approximately 55 mph on the highway, the vehicle stalled and shut off without warning. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, restarted the vehicle after a few minutes, and drove home. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic since there was no chrysler dealer at that location. The mechanic was unable to diagnose the failure, but recommended that the fuel and fuel cap be replaced. The failure recurred several times, but the engine could be restarted each time. The manufacture did not offer any assistance and stated that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The failure mileage was 90,000. |
