Description of the problem | My 2006 300m dies if you fill the tank until the gas pump shuts off automatically. This has happened numerous times to us. I have owned the car 3 years, and this has happened 10-15 times. It has happened after filling up at many different gas stations. The car stalls. It can be restarted, but might stall multiple times. After the car runs for a few minutes or travels about a mile the problem resolves it self. -this has happened twice when i was merging onto expressways after filling up. Dangerous! The first few times it happened i complained to the dealership. They said, "they hadn't heard of this problem, and told me not to over fill the gas tank!" it must be the owners problem if they have a dangerous design flaw! |
