Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler 300. While the contact was driving approximately 70 mph, a loud unusual noise emitted from the engine. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis and they detected the connecting rod bearings within the engine were defective. The manufacturer issued a customer satisfaction notification pertaining to the connecting rod bearings; however the vin was not included in the defect. The manufacturer was made aware of the malfunction. The vehicle had not been repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000. |
