Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler 300. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags) however, the part needed to perform the recall repair was unavailable. The contact was told by his local dealer that there were no parts or a remedy available to service the vehicle however, when contacting the dealer that was further from him, he was advised that they did have parts available. The vehicle was not repaired because the contact was unable to drive the vehicle on the highway due to a disability. The contact was later involved in a crash where he was rear-ended while sitting at a red light and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the neck, wrist, knee and head. Another passenger also sustained injuries to the back, neck and legs. Both required medical attention. A police report was filed of the incident. The contact was concerned with the time involved with having the vehicle repaired. The contact called the manufacturer to inquire about a loaner vehicle however, he was provided no assistance.
