Description of the problem	I was traveling in my car on the freeway. Traffic came to a deceleration very quickly and suddenly. I was able to slow down in time to avoid the car in front of me, however i was struck from behind. The driver behind me must have swerved also to try to avoid hitting me directly from behind. She hit my rear driver side. This action caused my control arm, strut tower, rotor, wheel and all other associated parts to detach from the vehicle. This also consequentially caused the brake hose to be ripped from the assembly resulting in poor brake pressure. I was able to pull to the shoulder with hydraulic brakes along with the use of my emergency brake. Very minor injuries were sustained from this incident, however, the situation could have resulted in severe injury or death. I have not existing recalls for the parts that failed, however, there is a recall on the front control arms on this vehicle.
