Description of the problem | Our traverse has a groaning noise coming from the steering column at slow speeds. I had the dealership diagnose the problem. They came back telling me it needed a new steering rack because it will get worse and possibly i will loose my power steering entirely without warning. In doing some research and visiting with repair shops it is evident that this is a recurring issue and needs to be resolved by gm with a safety recall. Gm has since redesigned the defect for newer model cars. I can only hope this gets resolved soon before there is serious injury. *js |
