Description of the problem | Takata recall: my vehicle vin is listed as one that has been identified as having faulty takata airbags. Gm was given until sept 2017 to complete its investigation and come up with a plan to resolve the problem. So far i have heard nothing from gm about this and when i called the local dealership in november of 2017 i was told to just "wait and we'll let you know". The deadline for their investigation ended three months ago. I have a faulty airbag and am driving myself and my 5 kids around town daily. I need this to be fixed, but gm refuses to do anything and apparently the federal government lets deadlines slide by without any repercussions against companies that are defiantly flaunting the rules. What can be done about this so that we can be assured our vehicles are safe? The 20th death as a result of a faulty takata airbag was just confirmed today. |
