Description of the problem | Complete a/c failure in 2014 chevrolet silverado 1500 ltz z71 while on vacation. Stopped to get gas and a/c would not cool upon restarting the vehicle. 475 miles later at 95 degrees, i was able to get the vehicle into the dealership. Defective condenser had to be replaced, (at my expense), with new "redesigned" gm part at a cost of $1,309. 94. Found numerous examples of this exact same problems through my dealer and the internet. Gm has offered no relief for this defect. In fact they have tried to mislead me by stating that the dealer used a refurbished part which is not covered by any warranty. This is an outright lie! |
