Description of the problem | Tl* takata recall. The contact owns 2010 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated the passenger air bag needed to be replaced. The air bag warning light illuminated. The contact noticed a crack across the dash board and believed it was from the air bag pushing from underneath the compartment. The dealer (hedrick's chevrolet 961 w shaw ave, clovis, ca 93612 (559) 840-3182) was contacted and informed the contact that they was unable to provide assistance as the recall parts were not available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated received nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags) however the parts were not available to remedy the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and informed the contact not to have anyone seated in the passenger seat and to contact nhtsa. The failure mileage was not available.
