Description of the problem | The driver side wheel bearing locked up and my truck was undrivable, it made a load clunking noisy and that was it, i just pulled off the highway to get gas, and when i started out of the station the front wheel lock up, it was good to have happen there instead of on the road, or i would not be writing this now, i had to call a tow truck and took it to a dealer, which confirmed that it did indeed lock up the left front wheel and the right one was very loose, needs to be replace also, it buned the had burned the brakes completely up on the driver side, where it was totally lock up, the mechanic told me they replace them all the time from one year old and up so there has to be something wrong in this type of bearing, they are very expensive to be replaced, my truck has 47,450 miles and has been well maintain, so there is no reason that this should have happen. |
